WHAT'S MY SECRET FOR CHICKEN SOUP? IT'S NOT WHAT YO THINK.

This is one of the best Chicken Soup recipes you'll ever try. If you're reading this then you will get to know my secret ingredient that I don't mention in the video. I always start with a whole Fresh Chicken and cook that in water or chicken broth first either in a crockpot or a large pot on the stove. If I cooked the Chicken in a crockpot I transfer it all later to a larger pot on the stove adding more liquid as needed being sure to add Better Than Bouillon to give it a richer flavor; about 2 Tablespoons for a large pot. Remove the cooked chicken and any bones before you add the veggies. I Put most of the veggies in during the last 1/2 hour and cook until fork tender. If you want your carrots to stay a brighter orange, don't cover the pot while cooking them. I usually use all onions but for a special flare I will replace one onion with chopped scallion. Be sure not to forget the Bay leaf during the full cooking process and take it out when your soup is done. Debone the cooked chicken and put all the chicken in the soup pot after the veggies are cooked. Here is the secret: I stir in, one half to one teaspoon of cinnamon to the Soup Pot about five minutes before I serve it, which brings out an even more delicious flavor. Turn off the heat. Serve over noodles or rice or nothing at all. Very satisfying! Enjoy!! Great during Cold Winter months. Enjoy!!
