On Christophsis, there was a case of one clone attempting to sell military secrets to the Separatists, and later on, during the Umbaran Campaign, another clone executed his Jedi General after catching him in treason. This is a troubling trend, and I have spoken to the Kaminoan representatives. They have assured me that they are looking into this matter and will ensure that this action is not repeated. And it goes without saying that all the necessary fines will be levied against their facilities. The Senate all roars in approval at that. Some shout that these punishments are not harsh enough, and others call for the Kaminoans to be arrested or worse, to operate with Republic jurisdiction. Yet the chancellor quiets these voices down and insists that the fines will be punishment enough. With that, the entire Senate chamber erupts in applause. But one person who does not cheer is Senator Burtoni, who stares at Palpatine through narrowed eyes. Her fist tightens around her cane. When the Senate adjourns, she approaches Palpatine in his office and shakes her head. Burtoni: What is the meaning of this, chancellor? We did not agree to such things, Republic interference? Fines? Not long after, the Jedi received a heavily encrypted message from Kamino, which was passed through Shaak Ti. It takes hours to decode everything, but inside is a record of all of Fives’s findings. This includes a complete diagram of the clones inhibitor chips and the information they contain. As they look through the records and command codes, their eyes widen as they see that these include Order 66, which will command all clones to execute the Jedi if the chancellor deems it necessary. As this information is presented to the Jedi Council, the whole room falls silent as they look up at the hologram, their expressions torn between disbelief and shock.
