During this seminar, Dr. Ballios will discuss the advancements and transformations in therapies that are being developed for inherited retinal diseases, including choroideremia. In particular, Dr. Ballios will highlight the advancements in gene therapy that have led to clinical trials, what technologies have shown promise, and what new directions are being taken. He will also discuss the clinical criteria that specialists use when considering patients who can be included in clinical trials, and considerations for patients who are interested in being participations in clinical research.
