Are Expensive Coffee Brewers Worth It?

This is an extensive review of three of the most popular coffee brewers on the market, but how do the compare to an inexpensive machine? I put these through their paces so that you can decide whether to stick with your reliable Cuisinart or upgrade to The Moccamaster, Breville, or Zwilling SCA certified brewers. Here is my custom brew settings on the Breville: For City Roasts: Bloom Time: 1 min Water Temp: 196°F/91°C Flow Rate: SLOW Pour Over: OFF For City + and Darker Roasts : Bloom Time: 45 sec Water Temp: 196°F/91°C Flow Rate: Medium Pour Over: OFF Removing the carafe before the screen reads bloom and placing it back once bloom is over makes for a milder more flavorful cup of coffee. Just don't wait too long because the cone shaped filter can only handle 500ml of water or a little over three cups before spilling over.
