Crews forged ahead on Monday with a large salvage effort near Washington, D.C., after the collision of an American Airlines passenger jet and a Black Hawk Helicopter killed 67 people in the deadliest air disaster in more than two decades. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is expected to begin operations on Monday to remove the mangled fuselage of the plane and the helicopter from the Potomac River, where the aircraft fell after they collided on Wednesday.
