Half-Life: Blue Shift | Full campaign | 2001 | PC | No commentary

Developed by Gearbox Software and released by Valve in 2001. Second expansion for Half-Life, originally made for the Dreamcast version, which never happened. The story follows Barney Calhoun, who has not had his best day. But at least he also appears in Half-Life 2, unlike a certain Shephard. His objective is simple: just get out of Black Mesa. The gameplay is the same as in the original Half-Life, with no experimentation like Opposing Force did, which is a good thing. The most common complaint is that Blue Shift is short. However, the game time is the same as in Opposing Force, but it is not artificially prolonged. HD models are also included, which some people like and some don’t. Overall, if you like Half-Life, get it as part of a collection. It’s a nice addition, and I would pick it over Opposing Force anytime.
