Holland America MS Koningsdam Lido Deck - Deck 9 and Dining Options - HAL Cruise Ship

Greetings and welcome to Café Relax! My name is Shannon and I thank you for joining me today on this adventure. Today we are exploring lido deck of the Holland America's MS Koningsdam which is located on deck 9. If you are planning a cruise on the Koningsdam you will likely be spending a lot of your time on the Lido as this deck is one of the most popular areas on the Koningsdam. The pool and hot tubs are located here, as well as dining spots the Lido Market buffet, the Dive in, the New York Deli & Pizza, the Gelato bar, and the Lido bar. We'll go into all the food on the Lido deck in more detail soon. This deck is also where all of the movies are shown. You will spot the big giant TV in the video here. One of the movies shown on my cruise, was "Barbie" The Gym and Spa are also located on the Lido deck, making it the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. Whether you’re looking to soak up some sun or stay active, the Lido deck has something for everyone. Now this particular journey aboard the Koningsdam unfolds during a delightful 5-day Holiday Mexican cruise, originating from the vibrant city of San Diego down to the sun-kissed shores of Cabo San Lucas, then back up to Ensenada before returning to San DIego. And with December's arrival, the entire ship is adorned in festive Christmas décor, adding an extra layer of joy to the experience. As you can see on the Lido deck there are people who are dining while gazing out to the sea, lounging on the deck, people relaxing and enjoying the hot tubs, swimming in the pools, there are even people carrying food to other locations, possibly up to their room or another part of the ship. Many bring books or ereaders for something to do while relaxing, really whatever you want to do. Now back to the dining options on the Lido; The Lido is all about casual dining. The Lido Market The Holland America Lido Market is a buffet-style restaurant located on the ship. The restaurant offers a wide variety of international cuisine, including Italian, American, and Dutch dishes. Guests can enjoy a wide range of hot and cold dishes, as well as a rotating selection of desserts. The Lido market is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Dive In No need to leave the Lido deck to eat lunch when you can just head over to the Dive In. Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and more are made to order. You have to try the Dive In sauce on the fries! This is one of my favorite spots to eat on the ship. You won’t be sorry you went here. Gelato You are on vacation and calories don’t count right? Holland America Line brings the delicious Italian tradition directly to you with their very own Gelato Ice Cream Parlor. Gelato offers a selection of 12 rotating flavors of Gelato, as well as sorbet and yogurt. With so many delicious options to choose from, you’re sure to find a favorite (or two… or three!). Additional Cost Lido Bar Not really dining, but I can't leave the bar out. While you are relaxing and or swimming or lounging in the hot tub you may want to have a beverage at the bar, well there is one available here. New York Pizza - This is technically not on the Lido, but up one level on level 10, but the staircase leads straight up from the pool area, so it's easily accessible and is the only way I've ever made my way to the New York Pizza. If you looking for a pizza or a sandwich, this is your place. In the evenings they also have late night snacks available.
