Unusual Readings (UNC: Distress Call) on Metgos - Mass Effect 1 Part 5 (Original Trilogy with Mods)

While on the Citadel we uncovered an Alliance patrol report. One of the patrols mentioned some strange activity in the Hydra System of the Argos Rho cluster. Alternative journal entry: You've received a distress call from a downed med ship located in the Hydra System of the Argos Rho cluster. This assignment can be gained in two ways: By hacking the computer console (easy decryption) in Ambassador Udina's office. The console then reads as follows: “ALLIANCE PATROL REPORT "Captain Hendrickson reported some unusual energy readings during a patrol of the Argos Rho cluster. She had particular concerns about the Hydra System but was recalled before her team could investigate further. No patrols are scheduled for that sector. Do we want to send in a recon team?" And by orbiting Metgos in the Hydra system of the Argos Rho cluster where Joker picks up a transmission from the medical transport Sacred Angel and relays it. Trivia: The squad warning saying "I have a bad feeling about this.", followed by "It's a trap!", are both nods to the Star Wars franchise. The phrase "I have a bad feeling about this..." is used in multiple movies, and "It's a trap!" is a famous quote by the character Admiral Ackbar. Argos Rho is located relatively close to Gemini Sigma. However, the mass relay route requires passing through three other clusters first, the total distance covered far greater than a straight-line measurement. The cluster is generally ignored by most galactic powers, possibly due to the fact that the vast majority of the planets are uninhabitable and thus nonviable for colony establishment. This obscurity means that a wide variety of factions, from pirates to Cerberus, to even the geth, have been able to operate out of the cluster largely unhindered. The known systems of Argos Rho are named after creatures from Greek mythology. Hydra may be named after the Lernaean Hydra, a monster from Greek mythology with nine heads that is killed by Hercules during his Twelve Labors. Metgos is a large terrestrial planet with an atmosphere of carbon dioxide and nitrogen. Its hot surface is mainly composed of nickel with deposits of potassium and heavy metals. It is a mineralogical treasure trove, with concentrated heavy elements constantly being brought to the surface by volcanic activity. Metgos is inhospitable and dangerous, and expeditions must be well-prepared to survive any length of time. With its high mass, heat-trapping clouds and constant volcanic venting, Metgos seems well on its way to becoming a Venusian "pressure cooker" world. Metgos' atmosphere is less dense than what one might expect from an incipient Venus. Mass Effect is a 2007 action role-playing video game developed by BioWare. Mass Effect is set within the Milky Way galaxy in the year 2183 where interstellar travel is possible through the use of mass transit devices called Mass Relays, a technology believed to have been built by an extinct alien race known as the Protheans. A conglomerate body of governments known as the Citadel Council controls a large percentage of the galaxy and is responsible for maintaining law and order among races of the galactic community. Races that belong to the Citadel Council include humans, asari, salarians, and turians. Other alien races seen in the game include the reptilian krogan, the environmental suited quarians, and a hostile race of networked artificial intelligences called geth. Humanity is represented by the Systems Alliance, an organized body that joined the galactic community in 2157.
