Raqset Sitti (my grandmothers dance), a folk song from Syria. It's been a while since i recorded traditional music! Here's a recording I did of Raqset Sitti, a folk song from Syria, that I had the pleasure to learn from master Tareq Jundi in my recent stay in Amman, Jordan. This recording is merely an oud study from a score Tareq Jundi gave me during lessons, to which i added the qanun, also for learning purposes. There is no intention of stealing the arrangement, since it was given to me for practice. As far as copying goes, oud players to evolve sometimes need to follow their masters footsteps closely.
