Geometric Taylor Series

This animation, created using MATLAB, illustrates how the power-series representation of 1/(1-x) converges on the interval (-1,1) by summing consecutive terms of the geometric series one by one. Upon zooming out, one should observe that the fidelity of the Taylor polynomial as an approximation of f(x) improves as n approaches infinity.
