District Magistrate inspects houses under construction under the PM Awas Yojana in Mehda Purva Deoria, 17 (AP) District Magistrate Akhand Pratap Singh today inspected houses under construction under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Sahu Tola, Mehda Purva, to assess the status of the scheme. On this occasion, the District Magistrate stated that if any officer, employee, or other person demands any money in the name of the PM Awas Yojana, they should immediately report it to 05568-222262 or 225351. Such individuals will be identified and strict action will be taken. The District Magistrate stated that housing allocation under the PM Awas Yojana is done in a completely transparent manner. Once a name is included in the housing scheme list, it is not possible to change it. He urged PM Awas Yojana beneficiaries to remain vigilant. The District Magistrate also interacted with the beneficiaries. Vandana, wife of Dhananjay, explained that she lives in a hut and faces considerable difficulties during the rainy season. The first installment of Rs. 50,000 and the second installment of Rs. 1.5 lakh have been received under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Prime Minister's Housing Scheme). Once the permanent house is built, they will feel comfortable. Suman, wife of Jairam, stated that they received the funds on time under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Prime Minister's Housing Scheme). Construction work is currently halted due to rain. Construction will resume as soon as the weather improves. DDA Project Officer Vinod Mishra stated that houses are being built for 12 beneficiaries in Sahu Tola. The District Magistrate directed the DUDA PO to ensure the construction of the houses is in accordance with the approved map.
