Why The Nets Need To Trade Ben Simmons Before The Trade Deadline

the Brooklyn nets are better without Ben Simmons. the Brooklyn nets lost the James harden trade. It's been a year since that trade was made and I think enough time has gone by to have a verdict. the verdict is in and it's that the Brooklyn Nets got finessed. the other night the Brooklyn nets played their rivals the Boston Celtics and got absolutely crushed, granted Ben Simmons and Kevin Durant didn't play but it's Ben Simmons that I want to talk about and that's because he refuses to shoot the ball, I don't mean that he can't shoot, the man literally refuses to shoot the ball. you can see how that is a huge problem when you are paid to literally dribble a ball and put it in the basket. And it gets even worse when you look at the numbers, this year Ben Simmons is averaging a whopping 7.4 points per game, 6.5 rebounds, and 6.4 assists. for reference in 2021 the last time he played a full season he averaged 14.3 points per game while attempting 10.1 field goals per game. this year he averages 5.9 attempts per game, which is half of from when he last played a full season. If I was Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, or the General manager I would be looking at these numbers with concern because the Brooklyn nets are paying Ben $35 million dollars a year to be a walking liability. yes, he is the second highest-paid player n the team after Kevin Durant who is paid $48 million dollar. It's gotten to. the point where his teammates don't want to pass him the ball and that makes sense if your intention with the ball isn't to score then why would I pass you the ball. it's gotten to the point where Kyrie Irving has to tell him to shoot the ball mid-game, now I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to be playing pro basketball with money on the line while I have to teach my teammate how to play, that puts us at a great disadvantage. Ben Simmons has become such a big liability that the Nets have to bench him during the 4th quarter. this is going to be magnified come playoff time because Philadelphia was hard on him but that media corps is nothing compared to New York media and scrutiny. especially when the Brooklyn Nets are expected to go deep into the playoffsESPN First Take ESPN NBA Today Is Joel Embiid Better than Giannis Antetokounmpo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdyK2...
