Today, in the gospel of Mark we find Jesus healing a deaf man. Looking at the miracle, people were astounded and surprised. They experienced positive surprise at Jesus, beyond any measure. Some not only just admired him and also at his personality and character, but also believed in him, and some even followed him. Their reaction was to love Jesus for his generous heart, willing to do good for all. Mk 7:37 says, that the crowd said, “he has done everything well.” They simply admired and appreciated him. Who is Jesus, the man who is highly admired?.............................. Is he an Orator?............a Politician?..............a Philosopher?.........a Thinker?..........a sports person?........a Film star?..........a business man?.......... or any other legendary person?.............................. Often we tend to admire only those people.............................. Ok, if we admire them, what is that underlying thing for which we tend to admire?......................................................... Yes , for several reasons we admire people. It is good. Though we tend to admire many people, we should never forget to have a sense of admiration for our Lord Jesus. When someone does good or extraordinarily well in something we appreciate and admire them. But we fail to admire Jesus. We fail to admire His goodness, His generous heart, His loving care and protection. Do you think that we need to admire Jesus? Surely we must admire Jesus. Firstly, he is good; and always does good; He always thinks good about all of us. Secondly, He cares and protects us, always keeps watch over us despite of our littleness. Thirdly, He died and rose for all of us; for me – and for you and the whole world. So everyday let us take a few moment to meditate, reflect and admire our Lord Jesus during the time of Eucharist and during prayer. Let us thank Him for all that He has been to us with great admiration. GOD BLESS YOU ALL
