drop a small tree with a bow saw and a timber tool

Lee came to Wheaton Labs to work on getting as many BB's (Badge Bits) as he could during his stay. Here he is dropping a live tree with a bow saw, which is a BB for part of the sand badge for woodland care in the PEP curriculum. PEP teaches you skills for managing land, as well as giving you a great workout! First you cut out and remove a wedge, then you attach and apply pressure with the timber tool (the timber tool is not essential for the BB, however we think it makes the task more safe). Turn the crank and tree is pushed over. Then you saw away to your heart's content from the other side of the tree (going towards your wedge), applying more pressure with the timber tool periodically until the tree comes down!
