Amid tension with Taiwan, PLA carried out beach landing drills on the coastline of Fujian province. The drills were meant to test PLA’s amphibious combat capacities on China’s southeastern coast. The drill was carried out by China's 73rd Group Army of the People's Liberation Army. The four-day operation was planned to test combat readiness, evacuation, concealment, assembly & tactical coordination.
