Hiking the Cinque Terre Sentiero Azzurro | Everything You Need to Know

🥾 I hiked the Cinque Terre Sentiero Azzurro (Blue Trail) from Monterosso al Mare to Vernazza to Corniglia — and got caught in the rain, found a hidden bistrot, and accidentally had one of the best dinners of my trip. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📍 TRAIL INFO ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Route: Monterosso al Mare → Vernazza → Corniglia Trail: Sentiero Azzurro (Cinque Terre National Park) Cost: ~€15 per person (card payment accepted at the entrance!) Difficulty: Moderate — some steep sections, lots of steps Tip: Start early to beat the crowds and the heat ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🍷 WHERE I STOPPED ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I stumbled into the most retro little bistrot tucked away from all the tourist traffic — complete with an inside garden and the kind of atmosphere that only rain can create. I had a glass of Vermentino (the local Ligurian white wine — please try it), and dinner was a bowl of Testaroli, a traditional Ligurian pasta I'd never tried before.
