Using a playing card and a flat tool, carefully pry under the back cover to separate the softened adhesive. Next, we lift the back cover from the midframe using a suction cup. The battery connector and one screw of the battery holder are disconnected. Then we remove the battery from the housing. Now we remove the adhesive residue from the midframe. We loosen the four screws that secure the midframe. Then we disconnect the vibration motor from the circuit board. Due to the water resistance, even with the screws removed, we must loosen the midframe using an opening tool by carefully lifting all edges slightly. Now it is possible to carefully lift the midframe and remove the gasket. We then clean and remove any remaining gasket material from the midframe. We remove the camera cover. Now we carefully detach the speaker assembly from the circuit board. Then we detach the card reader cover. We now loosen the circuit board by carefully lifting all edges with an opening tool. Note that you should not remove the circuit board immediately, as two flex cables underneath still need to be disconnected. Now we can lift the circuit board slightly and use a tool to disconnect the flex cables underneath. We can now remove the camera switch. We also remove the switch that controls the volume and power buttons. Next, we install the new camera switch, as well as a new switch for the volume and power buttons. Now the circuit board is installed. We must ensure that the flex cables underneath connect to the circuit board. Carefully place the circuit board into position. To replace the speaker, we must first remove it from the unit. Since they are glued together, we heat it with a hairdryer to soften the adhesive. Then we remove the speaker from the unit using tweezers. After removing the old adhesive residue from the speaker unit, we attach a connector to the new speaker. Now it's possible to insert the new speaker into the old unit.
