Twice I got through it till the very end and made a mistake. Bob Moore’s bass line was a tough one for me. The bass tab flow is not the smoothest but it’s the best I could do considering the availability and access. The dancing Santa is actually a ‘Rockin Around the Christmas Tree’ dancing Santa 😊 The Song Written by Johnny Marks; he also wrote: “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" (a hit for Gene Autry and others), "A Holly Jolly Christmas" (Burl Ives), "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" (Bing Crosby), and "Run Rudolph Run" (Chuck Berry). That’s a lot of residuals! Lyrics are rather dated, but that hasn't dulled the appeal of the song. It takes place at the "Christmas party hop," a festive "sock hop" where teenagers would take off their shoes and dance. His line "Everyone's dancing merrily in the new old-fashioned way" is an oxymoron. Brenda Lee: was born December 11, 1944; as a child, she shared a bed with her brother and sister without running water/indoor plumbing she was 13 when she recorded “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” By the song's 50th anniversary in 2008, Lee's original version had sold over 25 million copies around the world...that’s also a lot of residuals! She had 47 US chart hits during the 1960s and is ranked fourth in that decade, surpassed only by Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Ray Charles. -has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. -member of the Rock and Roll, Country Music and Rockabilly Halls of Fame. -Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. -first woman to be inducted into both the Rock and Roll and Country Music Halls of Fame. Some of her notable hits: ‘I’m Sorry”, "Sweet Nothin's" & "Break It to Me Gently" Bassist Bob Moore (11/30/32 – 09/22/21) was an American session musician, orchestra leader, and double bassist who was a member of the Nashville A-Team (a core group of first-call studio musicians) during the 1950s and 1960s.
