Kenyan police fire tear gas to disperse opposition protesters

Police fired tear gas to disperse protesters in Nairobi and in the town of Kisumu. At least one person has reportedly died there. The opposition is calling for officials from the electoral commission to be prosecuted and sacked. Last month Kenya's Supreme Court annulled President Uhuru Kenyatta's election win -- citing voting irregularities. New polls are due to be held on the 26th of October. But opposition leader Raila Odinga has voweed to boycott the vote unless electoral officials are brought to book.
