The Real Gravis Ultrasound Experience

The Gravis Ultrasound is among the most sought after sound cards and fetches a high price now. It's not worth it, not at all. Outside of a handful of niche applications it is a resource hog, it has endless compatibility issues and makes your system perform worse. In this video we'll look at what that guy asking a few hundred dollars for one won't tell you. After owning the card for a long time, I can see through the initial wow factor and share what it is like trying to use the thing in place of the more common options. To be clear, I still like it as a piece of hardware and always have some time for devices that tried to do something different. Nonetheless, it almost feels like the product of someone who couldn't just let the Amiga die already.
