Take on Dawn! Part 2 | Extreme Battle Event: Training with Dawn and Lucas! | Pokémon Masters EX

Also another difficult stage, somewhat equivalent to Lucas's previous one. 1. Use Special attacks All opponents have Sentry Entry x3, which TRIPLES their base Defense. Your physical attacks would BARELY damage them. 2. Remove relevant Field effects All opponents have the following passives gaining advantages when Sandstorm is active: Sand Alert 5 x 2 (right): Mathematically, this 2 passives stacking would triples Sandstorm duration. Sand Kicker (right): Immediately activates Sandstorm upon battle start. Sedimentary 9 (all): All opponents gains a 30% increase on their base Defense and Sp. Def when Sandstorm is active. Sand Sync: Activates Sandstorm again when mid uses their first Sync move. This occurs to first Sync move only. Sand Blaster 5 (mid) Surging Sand 5 (sides) Soothing Sand 1 (all) Additionally, they also gain a few benefits from Ground Zone: Down to Earth (mid): Immediately activates Ground Zone upon battle start. Earthen Opening Sync: Activates Ground Zone again when mid uses their first Sync move. This occurs to first Sync move only. Earthen Power 5 (all): Since majority of their moves are Ground-type already, Earthen Power 5 would mean to DOUBLE the damage. 3. You MUST win before mid uses their Earthquake after their first Sync Move used. After first Sync move used, mid will gain Sure Crit Next from Build Up passive , followed by an Earthquake after that (considering sides are taken down). So, that Earthquake will deal critical damage to your entire team. If you are on a budget team like this, and you don't remove Ground Zone, your damage dealers are GUARANTEED to be killed with Earthquake, even if they are on +6 Defense. 4. Other irrelevant factors Sides have Ground Shift, which converts their Giga Impact's type to Ground. If mid is knocked out, they will spam Giga Impact. Combining Surging Sand 5 and Earthen Power 5 passives, these might as well considered OHKO hits. ===== My Team Choice ===== Candices for the win. 1. Aaron Vespiquen VERY crucial for this team, not only for the Move Up Next, healings and defensive buffs but also for the Flinch. Specifically for usage: During second turn, they must aim Attack Order at right (Hippowdon), and that hit must proc Staggering 4. As it can land an Earthquake with Ground Zone, your team is safe from 1 hurtful hit. Additionally, since Flinch is proc by a passive, your Aaron should be able to quad queue easily, help your team gets 1 additional turn. Requirements: EXed for Sync Buff advantage and better stats. Lucky Skill: Adrenaline 1 Sync Grid build: https://ng-pomatools.web.app/pairs/15... 2. Candice & Abomasnow The 1st Candice that supports the 2nd Candice. Aside from setting Hail for Froslass's behalf, they also (kind of) inflicting a bit ontype damage and freezing (though it froze the wrong time during this battle). Requirements: Hail must have MP Refresh tiles equipped, and must proc at least twice. The reason being: Candace & Froslass should not be wasted a turn to activate Hail, as it brings risk for winning slower. Lucky Skill: Critical Strike 2 Sync Grid build: https://ng-pomatools.web.app/pairs/25... 3. Candice & Froslass The main damage dealer of the team. With Aaron & Vespiquen boosting 1 Critical-Hit Rate with TM, they get 1 turn less for setup. And with the other Candace, they don't waste more turns setting up Hail either. Requirements: EXed (better stats and AOE Sync move to quickly kills off sides) Lucky Skill: Weathered Warrior 3 Sync Grid build: https://ng-pomatools.web.app/pairs/25... That concludes this Extreme Battle event. Hope you can make it!
