Hi everyone please do watch and subscribe my channel 🙏😊 Rasam recipe – Prep Time-5 minutes Cook Time-15 minutes Total Time-20 minutes Servings- 5 to 6 INGREDIENTS 3 medium chopped tomatoes 6-8 Crushed shallots Turmeric powder -1/4tsp Salt to taste 4 cups water or boiled horse gram water 3 no's brindleberry/Garcinia cambogia 2tsp sambar powder finely chopped coriander leaves for seasoning rasam 2-3 tsp oil 1 tsp mustard 4 dried red chili 4 sprig curry leaves 10-15 cloves garlic crushed 1 tsp black pepper powder HOW TO MAKE THE RECIPE Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard, red chili and curry leaves. Soon they begin to crackle. Then add crushed garlic and crushed shallots. Saute well for a minute till it change the colour. Add tomatoes with salt and turmeric. Saute until mushy & soft. When the tomatoes turn completely soft, then add black pepper powder and sambar powder. Saute for 2 to 3 minutes. The spice powder must begin to smell good. Next pour water/boiled horse gram water and add brindleberry/ Malabar tamarind also. Stir well and check the salt. If needed add more.Simmer for 5 minutes after it comes to a boil. Soon It thickens slightly. Add coriander leaves. Simmer for a minute. Cover and turn off the stove.
