Across industries, African countries have often turned to international expertise, especially from Europe, the Americas, and China. Take football, for instance, where foreign managers frequently lead African teams to new heights. Yet, after over half a century of black African leadership, glaring gaps in skills and effectiveness remain. This sparks a bold question: should Africa's management be handed over to experienced outsiders from the West or Asia? Alternatively, we could think about hiring our very own white South Africans to oversee management of black African nations, giving them twenty-five years at least, to transform the continent? If it is not contentious for Westerners and East Asians to construct much of Africa's infrastructure, why should their involvement in steering national progress be controversial?
