Second Sunday in Advent December 7, 2024

Today we hear of Mary, innocent and powerful, sacred and scared, worried and waiting, as she is told she is to be mother of the Messiah. She speaks boldly when she might be voiceless; she bears her role in history with confidence in her Lord; she is the bearer of the Gospel, the divine assertion that “nothing is impossible with God.”
