Again, it was combined grids with the 270R class. This time they were given an increased 20 second head start to try and avoid the disruption experienced at Cadwell Park. Some squabbling amongst the leading pack during the first portion of the race enabled Blair to pull a lead. However, Wes and I managed to reel Blair in, no thanks to the powerful tow and perhaps Blair being overly cautious through some yellow flags. This led to a three way scrap for the lead during the latter stages of the race with all of us ultimately wanting preferable track position to benefit from the tow on the last lap. An extra element of spice was added when we caught a (pesky) 270 driver that repeatedly re-overtook us even though he wasn't in a race of his own. His behaviour was decisive, as he was in the way at the last corner of the last lap. Who knows what would have happened if he wasn't there! In any case, it forced me to attempt some heroics at the last corner that didn't quite work out! For me, it was excellent clean racing from start to finish. Congratulations to Blair on a well deserved win and to Wes on claiming 3rd place only 0.098 secs behind me.
