I Ace and collect all of Goodies in the "Where In The World Is Avalon Centrifuge?" level. I also nab the 10th place in the worldwide highscores! Surprisingly, this level was a real pain to record. I very nearly got a suitable recording on my first attempt, but then I needed more than three hours and one hundred additional attempts to end up with this. I saw "surprisingly" because I've never viewed this level as particularly difficult. I guess it makes a big difference when you're trying to Ace it whilst collecting everything you can. Does the music in the first half of this level remind anyone else of Ape Escape? Specifically, it initially reminds me of the music in Dark Ruins. (Link: • Video ) The music here eventually turns into something like a techno remix of it though. 1:30 - If you're fast enough, it's entirely possible to swing up to the nearby platform and Prize Bubble without the assistance of Bounce Pads. 3:00 - This demonstrates a way to make the next section easier. If you get a good swing, you can almost entirely bypass the annoying fire turret. I do, however, show a "proper" way to defeat the turret at 9:25. For whatever reason, the scripted sequence with the Bees right before the Level Link always seems to destroy a random number of them. In this recording, none of them were destroyed, though sometimes I've seen four or five get taken down. 4:01 - Sometimes, doing what I do will cause a Sackbot to land exactly on the rightmost enemy immediately below. It's vaporized as soon as the plasma body is exposed though. 5:25 - Be careful when grappling the mini-boss guarding Avalon. If you're not, you can end up getting squashed by the guardian's moving parts. (The same is true for the actual boss, but the mini-boss gives you less time to react.) Like the first level in "The Cosmos", Acing this level sucks because of one specific portion towards the end. Here, it's the part at 6:26 with two Prize Bubbles and a quickly spinning wheel. The best advice I can give is: hit the Bounce Pad, grapple around the maximum height of your jump, and release right when your character is perpendicular to the large Plasma wall. If all goes well, you should get one or both of the Prize Bubbles there. Practice it until you get a feel for the technique. 9:33 - If you're having trouble with the fire turret, note that staying to the rightmost part of the first set of Bounce Pads should keep you safe even though it looks like you're getting engulfed in fire. I had no need for it in this recording, but I found it useful during other attempts.
