Nancy Drew is a game (and book!) series that had totally passed me by. As an English youth, we had Enid Blyton, of course; the Famous 5 and the Secret 7, so I was just not quite the correct demographic for Nancy Drew growing up However, I've had several recommendations for this game series, and when picking a starting point to enter, the Curse of Blackmoor Manor stood out to me, as it's actually set in jolly old England! Strange goings on are afoot at Blackmoor Manor - chanting can be heard at night, a strange beast is prowling the grounds, and the wife of the manor is falling ill with a mysterious wasting disease. She doesn't want to be seen and hides behind a curtain - what can it all mean? This is a myst-like point and click from the 2000s, and I have to say, it's a good opening - it reminds me a lot of Syberia in that a lot of the puzzling seems to revolve around having conversations with people and keeping track of what is being said. Let's see how we get on! We're playing on Senior Investigator difficulty and this is my playthrough of Nancy Drew - totally blind!
