Who doesn’t love a good road trip? Cannon Beach is easily accessible from both Portland and Seattle, making it a perfect road trip destination in the Pacific Northwest coast! Visitors to Cannon Beach often encounter colorful and mysterious forms of marine life covering intertidal rocks and filling tidepools. It is also a great bird-watching destination year-round. Nothing beats a sunset over the ocean, so bring your blankets and reserve your spot under the sun! On our second day, we walked from the Hallmark Hotel to the town to grab a late breakfast at one of our favorite spots, Lazy Susan. The oatmeal waffle and mocha are a must, but everything we’ve tried was delicious! With the town being easily walkable, you’ll have plenty to do off the sand too! Pop into the many shops for delicious chocolate, beach paintings, and cute antiques. Enjoy a break with some of the best coffee in Oregon at Sea Level or Sleepymonk, and of course don’t forget the ice cream at Osburns, our family favorites!
