Thriving after surviving cancer; the impact of cancer rehab on adolescents and young adults

More than 84 thousand adolescents and young adults were diagnosed with cancer last year alone. Cancer and its treatment can lead to both short and long-term challenges, even after remission. It's an experience ReVital Cancer Therapist Kevin Campanale remembers well. He was 14 years old when he was diagnosed with Leukemia. "My world just seemed to come to a halt," he said. "Looking back I realize how much physical therapy and exercise helped shape my recovery." Watch the video to learn more about what Kevin went through on his cancer survival journey. Then mark your calendars for April 22 for our next Living Well Beyond Cancer Survivor Series, Thriving After Cancer: Rehabilitation and Resilience for Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivors. We're offering two live Q&A sessions to discuss the side effects that can persist or worsen post-treatment and how rehabilitation services can positively impact survivorship.
