NS 21M With Ex LMS and Conrail Horn Show Meets NS 212 With An Ex Conrail At Bound Brook!

Bound Brook, Nj. Seen at- 8:55am 8/23/2012 Finally one of the trains I had been waiting for arrived, that being NS intermodal 21M. We had a signal for a westbound and then caught a glimpse of a faint headlight in the West. Soon we were looking at NS intermodal 212 heading up our way, as we listened to the sound of distant Conrail horns and the Conrail Middlesex defect detector and then to see NS intermodal 21M round the corner. As the westbound intermodal approaches it blows a nice Ex Conrail sounding horn, (the first time us actually being able to hear the echo of the horn from our South), and continues to give single blows as he passes by. Since 21M was so long we figured the eastbound 212 would get blocked out and it sure did. Luckily the gaps between the containers gave enough space that I could still barely make out the numbers on 212. As the 2 trains end, they end perfectly ending at just about the same time. A great meet of NS intermodal trains!
