Ugh. Special 1 is incredibly random and unfair, so it's no surprise that it took me FOREVER to beat it! The beginning is really intimidating at first, but I came up with a very reliable method to get by. When the bullet bills are introduced, things really start to get tough. Oh, and did I mention there are tons of hidden coin blocks over the death water? Did I also mention everything you can stand on is slippery? ...yeah. Unfortunately, a lot of luck is needed to make it to the end, which offers another challenging jumping maneuver... oy. Thankfully, I never have to play that stage again! Special 2 is also damn tough, but much less randomly unfair. I messed up at the very end 3 times, and I do mean very end. 2 times I hit a baseball after hitting the P-switch. Sheesh. The jump off of Yoshi is harder than it looks, but not too bad. There are 3 hidden coin blocks to avoid to get onto the final platform. This level took much longer than it should've, and again, I'm glad it's over with. I'm definitely not looking forward to the next 2... Save states were only used at the start of each level and at midway points as placeholders. No slowdown was used.
