From Farms to Food Banks: the Nourish New York Initiative

Nourish New York is a lifeline for our families and our farmers who have been struggling with changes brought on by the pandemic. This vital program helps people experiencing food insecurity to access the fresh, healthy foods they need, while providing a market for our farmers to sell their products. Nourish New York has committed a total of $35 million to emergency food providers to purchase surplus products from New York farmers and dairy manufacturers and deliver it to New York families in need through the end of 2020, including during the holiday season.
