Week 4 “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”

Week 4 “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”

Christmas Playlist – Week 4 | “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” 📖 Matthew 1:23; Isaiah 7:14; John 1:14; Titus 2:11–13 In the final message of our Christmas Playlist sermon series, we turn to one of the oldest and most deeply meaningful carols of the season — “O Come, O Come Emmanuel.” Unlike many joyful Christmas songs, this hymn begins with longing, waiting, and the honest cry of a broken world in need of rescue. In this message, we explore what the name Emmanuel — “God with us” — truly means for our lives today. From humanity’s separation caused by sin, to God’s incredible gift of coming near in Jesus, to Christ’s victory over sin and death, and finally to the great hope we hold as we await His return, this message reminds us why Christmas matters so deeply. 🎶 Message Themes Include: Why sin separates us from God and why we need a Savior How God’s greatest gift is His presence with us How Jesus rescues us from sin and death Why the promise of Christ’s return restores our greatest hope Whether this Christmas season feels joyful or heavy, bright or difficult, the message of Emmanuel is the same: God has come near — and He is coming again.
