Being a DISCIPLE💪🏾 of Jesus sounds good on paper—until it starts COSTING something. 😮💨 People love to CLAIM they’re a “CHILD OF GOD👑,” a “KINGDOM SOLDIER🛡️,” or a “CHOSEN VESSEL📦,” but the moment HARDSHIP🤕 or PERSECUTION🔥 shows up, many of them FALL BACK. 🏃🏾♂️💨 Let’s be clear: Jesus never sugarcoated this walk. He said, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross DAILY, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23 NASB). This isn’t a ONE-TIME COST—it’s a DAILY SACRIFICE. 😤🪔 We want the BLESSINGS🌈, the FAVOR💰, the OPEN DOORS🚪… but skip over the part where Jesus said "in this world you WILL have trouble…” (John 16:33). No one likes that part. 😬 But it’s part of the PACKAGE📦. Being SET APART✨ means you might be MISUNDERSTOOD🫤, LEFT OUT❌, or even MOCKED. But if we truly love Him, we STAND FIRM✊🏾 anyway. So tonight, ask yourself—am I in it for the REWARD🏆 or the RELATIONSHIP🤝🏾? Cause DISCIPLESHIP👣 costs comfort, costs pride, costs popularity—but it’s worth it for the JOY🙌🏾 and GLORY💫 that’s coming! Stay ready. Stay BOLD.
