Take Outside Portraits Inside | Take and Make Great Photography with Gavin Hoey
If the four walls of your studio space are limiting your portrait photography, this video by Gavin Hoey might make you think differently. The idea is simple enough. Take a great location photo and then drop in your model using Photoshop. But this isn’t a lesson in complex selections and masking, it’s much more direct than that. Gavin borrows a technique from the world of TV and film by creating a small-scale set for the model to work in, adding complementary lighting and color, and finally dropping the small set onto the bigger picture using Photoshop.
