A Ceremony at the Mazar of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed- Nishan-e-Haider

Defense day was celebrated here with great fervor and enthusiasm and people enthusiastically paid homage to the martyrs of 1965 war. A special ceremony in this regard held at the mazar of the Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed Nishan-e-Haider in Chak No. 253/EB Tufailabad, where Garrison Commander Okara Cantt Brigadier Manzoor Ahmad along with Lieutenant Colonel Mazhar Shah laid floral wreaths on the behalf of the Chief of Army Staff. A contingent of 4th-Punjab regiment presented guard of honour. EDO Revenue Vehari Nasar Ullah Leghari, DO Revenue Tariq Bashir, DDO Revenue Burewala Shahid Zaman Luk, Tehsildar Qamar Mahmood Khan Manj, DSP, Burewala, Malik Muhammad Rafique Khokhar, UC Nazim Ch Zia Akhtar, Din Medical Complex Executive Colonel (R) Dr. Muhammad Amin also laid floral wreaths to pay homage to the sacrifice of national hero who honored martyrdom for the defense and sovereignty of his country. A police contingent also presented guard of honour.
