Nappi's Notes: Heavy snow moves into Maine from west to east overnight, beginning after sunset. The snowfall rates will be up to 3 inches for a 3 hr periods with moderate accumulations statewide. The heaviest snow will be for parts of Downeast with more than 6 inches in the forecast. The snow will moderately dry and a little wetter the closer to the coastline. The snow ends tomorrow with a dry slot in southwest Maine first, and then it continues for the Midcoast and eastern/northern Maine. Look for the sky to be cloudy Thursday and Friday, but the snow is mostly over. There's another opportunity for snow this weekend and on President's Day.
