Carlisle man sentenced to life in prison for raping a child

WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) - 42-year-old Justin Fannin has been sentenced to life in prison for raping a girl who was under the age of eight at the time of the offense. Fannin was convicted by a jury of three counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition. On Friday, Warren County Judge Timothy Tepe sentenced Fannin to life in prison. Fannin will not be eligible for parole for 33 years. According to a release from Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell's office, Fannin engaged in sexual conduct with his victim on three separate occasions between February 2017 and January 2019. "I continue to be impressed by the bravery shown by these young child victims when they come into court - in front of jurors, prosecutors, audience members, and the defendants themselves - and tell their stories of the horrific things done to them," said Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell.
