There are legends of the "Sixes Devils" and "Wild Men" that have been witnessed in the area, over the centuries, by Native Americans and the gold miners that later settled in the region to strike it rich. Bandon Bicycle Works organized a bikepacking ride for the Adventure Cycling Association's Bike Travel Weekend 2022. Six riders got out there and explored the Southern Oregon Coast Range.
