Vegan offended by Jeremy Vine sandwich compared dairy farmers to Hitler - 247 News

AMILITANT vegan who argued with Jeremy Vine about a ham sandwich previously compared dairy farmers to Nazi Germany.Joey "Carbstrong" Armstrong told the Radio 2 host last week his lunch was offensive as it was made from “the flesh of a dead pig”.Today it emerged he posted in the past about dairy farmers, and once said artificial insemination is akin to paedophilia. In a series of online comments revealed by the Daily Mail the 31-year-old wrote: "Sexually violating an animal who cannot give consent is akin to inappropriately touching a small child." And: "If you support dairy farmers you are supporting a regime worse than Nazi Germany."Hitler is still alive and he lives in the heart and mind of every animal abusing rapist slave-owning dairy farmer." The vegan figurehead said last week activists should carry out "peaceful, non-violent advocacy" and denounced "any death threats and any name calling".More than 100 of his previous posts have now been deleted.Today he issued a statement on Facebook where he said his advocacy has evolved and his approach "is much different now".He added: "There are many things I’ve said in the past that I no longer stand by."I don’t stand by the statement 'dairy farmers should kill themselves'."I don’t stand by the statement 'fisheaters are psychopaths'." He told Jeremy Vine last week: “I’m a bit upset to see your sandwich has a piece of a pig’s body in there.A dead pig that didn’t want to die.“Ham is a euphemism that actually comes from the flesh of a dead pig.” Asked what he should call it instead, the Aussie campaigner said: “I’d like you to call it the dead body of an animal that didn’t want to die.” Armstrong also objected to the cheese in Jeremy’s sandwich, saying: “It comes from a mother who had her children taken from her, and had hands shoved in her anus and was artificially inseminated with bull semen.” Jeremy tweeted after Tuesday’s show: “Tip: When interviewing a militant vegan, don’t leave a ham sandwich in view.” Armstrong is touring the UK hoping to convert meat lovers. We pay for your stories!
