Loosely based on the 1826 novel The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper, The series was set in New York's Hudson Valley in the 1750s but was filmed in Canada. Series 1 Episode 13 - False Witness Army payroll messengers are found dead, murdered by a gang of bandits, and the payroll stolen.
