A UN monitor is calling on international community to step up efforts to deal with North Korea's continuous human rights abuses. The UN's special rapporteur, Marzuki Darusman... said Wednesday that recent findings by the Commission of Inquiry on human rights abuses in North Korea show it's not just a political issue, but an international issue. His inquiry team is calling for Pyongyang to be held accountable before the International Criminal Court, to potentially prosecute leader Kim Jong-un and other powerful figures within the regime. A recent UN report showed that human rights abuses like rape, torture and enslavement are prevalent in North Korea.
