By: Robert PriceSAN ANTONIO - Police have been digging around in a backyard, looking for answers to try to solve a 30-year-old murder case. We had the only camera there as cold case detectives searched the backyard of an east side home- looking for a body.San Antonio police are remaining very tight-lipped on the details of this cold case and the dig. But detectives do say an arrest may be imminent. A viewer tip brought us to the scene Tuesday afternoon. The lead cold case detective told us they'd been there since before 8 a.m. Tuesday. So far, authorities have used the aid of ground-penetrating radar and even cadaver dogs.Patricia, a neighbor, who did not want to give her last name, said she's nervous as to what's going to happen. Another neighbor says he saw K-9 dogs smelling something and he thinks the case dates back to the mid-1980s.Salvador and Corey Maldonado live across the street from the house in question.They tell us this is the third time investigators have targeted this back yard looking for evidence.Most recently, they say, investigators looked for clues in 2008.The same thing, they went around, Salvador said. They couldn't find nothing. They were digging all around the house couldn't find anything.We've chosen not to reveal the exact location of this search, but it's believed the suspect may have lived here years ago and has long since moved.The Maldonado's say they have no idea who it could be.While police won't release information about a suspect or victim - they do tell us they know who they're looking for and feel confident about a break in the case.
