This video was recorded on November 9, 2019 and describes the geology at each field stop, where critical outcrop of the metamorphic rocks are exposed along Konso-Jinka main road. It is prepared as field guide for undergraduate geology students of Arba Minch University taking the course entitled “Field mapping in metamorphic terrain: - Field work III – Geol.408”, with aim to provide grounding in mapping skills required to:- Make systematic observations and descriptions of metamorphic rocks, Apply appropriate lithological names, and assess the nature and degree of metamorphism, Delineate major and minor structures, Elucidate the relationships between metamorphism and deformation, Build a local litho-tectonostratigraphy, and Determine the broad deformation history of a region of polyphase deformation, based on field evidence.
