Idealism: East and West is a lecture series by Prof. R. Balasubramanian, an erudite scholar in Vedānta, where he acquaints the participants with the fundamentals of Advaita-vedānta and complexities of its nuances. The talks also compared and contrasted the idealism of East and West with special reference to the contribution of Western philosophers like Parmenides, Spinoza and Bradley. Prof. R. Balasubramanian (1929-2017), Former Chairman, ICPR, New Delhi, has been a recipient of many prestigious awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the ICPR in 2010. He has authored more than 25 books on Advaita-vedānta, Epistemology and Existentialism. CIF has also published his commentary on the Naiskarmya-siddhi.
