My Written Review This is a great little ballet tutu. It is one size- made for girls age 3-9 years. Because of the stretchiness and flexibility of the waist it does look like it would adjust to fit girls of that age range. This fits my 5-year-old great and I am sure she will be able to wear this for years. This is a 12 inch tutu and the waist band is satiny, stretchy and soft. The skirt has three layers: two sheer plain ones underneath and the top layer is covered in sequins and stars. The bottom layers are soft and not itchy. It has a very sparkly effect. The length of the skirt is about 11-12 inches and there is no hem at the bottom. Because of the material, you could cut this yourself to shorten without any fraying if it was a little long on your younger child. On my 5-year-old, the length goes just below her knees. This skirt would be great to use for dress up, a ballerina costume or for dance class. My daughter takes ballet and she is always wanting to wear her more fancy- frilly tutus to her classes but their dance dress code is a black leotard with pink tights and they can wear a skirt overtop if they wish. She has been asking me for a sparkly pink skirt for weeks and when I saw this one I was so excited- it’s perfect and exactly what she wanted. Needless to say, my daughter loves it! When I surprised her with it she squealed and laughed and hugged me. She put it on immediately and danced around the house with it and wore it so proudly to her dance class. It is well made and I love that she will be able to wear this for years. The price is fantastic also at under $8. I wish all dance clothes were that inexpensive! I don’t think you can go wrong with this one. It would make a great dress up piece, costume, Christmas present, or attire for a little dancer.
