IR33 The Korogocho Kenya DUBuMentary & Grafitti Experience

With a dub driven soundtrack by I.R. featuring Jah9, Sawandi, Dr Das & Ramjac, this DUBuMentry looks at the IR project in the slum of Korogocho in Nairobi, Kenya. I.R. works with Kenyan grafitti artists Swift, Kerosh, Bhupti, Chege & Uhuru to paint a mural design by Dubdem on the walls of Daniel Comboni Primary School. The Dubdem design was based on material found in the book IR30 Indigenous Visions In Dub. This video was created by IR, The Spirit Of Galdino and the dub folks at The African Aftermath media company in Kenya. Among other things, the mural depicts & references the Mau Mau military leader Kimathi, Galdino Leonard Peltier, Idle No More, Free Palestine, Augustus Pablo' Rockers & John Trudell. This was a totally spontaneous & independent project...as we say in IR "minimum resources, maximum cooperation." Special thanks to Monique , Eddie and Nads.
