Plans for energy bill relief by Christmas

The Albanese government is sending mixed signals over how to address the nation's gas crisis. The Prime Minister said that cash handouts were "cheap politics" this week, but last night the federal treasurer wouldn't rule cash subsidies out. Treasurer Jim Chalmers said a plan is being formulated around providing energy bill relief by Christmas.
