Let me tell you, it was a revelation! This city, known for its relentless traffic and the constant urban buzz, transforms into a surprisingly peaceful and beautiful place on Sundays. I started my journey in Rockwell Makati and headed straight to Poblacion and then into the heart of Makati, cruising down the iconic Ayala Avenue. It was a stark contrast to the usual gridlock – the wide avenues were practically empty, and the towering skyscrapers seemed to bask in the quiet. Next, I headed towards Bonifacio Global City (BGC), a modern oasis amidst the concrete jungle. The streets were clean, the parks were bustling with families, and the overall vibe was incredibly relaxed. Then, I ventured into Mandaluyong, exploring the vibrant Greenfield District. It felt like a hidden gem, with its lush green spaces and a more laid-back atmosphere compared to the bustling business districts of Makati and BGC. Finally, I concluded my drive in Ortigas Center in Pasig. Even here, the Sunday calm was palpable. The usually congested roads were a breeze to navigate, and the city skyline seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. Did you know? Metro Manila is one of the most densely populated urban areas in the world! It's a fascinating blend of old and new, tradition and modernity.
