SEGA Genesis VA7 vs. PAL SEGA Mega Drive VA4 - Audio Comparison

Direct comparison of audio quality between one of the worst sounding SEGA Genesis consoles and the console I normally use for recording soundtracks. The "bad" console is a SEGA Genesis model 1, hardware revision: VA7. The other one is a PAL Sega Mega Drive model 1, hardware revision: VA4. The point of this video isn't that PAL Mega Drives sound better than SEGA Genesis consoles or anything like that. There are great sounding Genesis consoles, bad sounding PAL Mega Drive consoles and vice versa. I just happen to own a SEGA Genesis which was unfortunately part of a bad batch of consoles where SEGA messed up the audio quality. I wanted to make a video about it and I happen to own one other Mega Drive console - a PAL Mega Drive model 1 VA4. So why not directly compare the two to see how bad the VA7 really is? I only made sure to check if the games were released in both North America and Europe. Alex Kidd is a Master System game which you can play on the Mega Drive/Genesis using the Master System Converter/Power Base Converter. All games were recorded while using a Mega Everdrive x3 cartridge except Tanglewood which was recorded using a Tanglewood game cartridge. The PAL Mega Drive VA4 outputs at a higher volume so I had to adjust the volume slider on the console to match the volume of the Genesis VA7. The volume on the Mega Drive was around 65% whie the volume of the Genesis was around 80%.
